By Phil Kilburn 12 Jun, 2017

Wednesday 28th June
Beer service - Any time you like after 5.30pm!
Food Service - promptly at 7.30pm

Following on from the wonderful, sell-out Wine Tasting in May, Taz and the team present something for the beer drinkers!

A selection of fine Indian, Bangladeshi and English beers and lagers, another of Taz's monster food banquets (with a barbecue theme, but we won't be outside getting rained on!) and a great social occasion at  The Princess of Hearts .

Food service starts at promptly at 7.30pm, butyou're welcome to come as early as you like to get tasting with your free beer on arrival and of course, ensure you get your favourite corner. In addition to the usual draft and bottled Cobra and the supremely wonderful (but rather dangerous) King Cobra, you'll have the choice of Lal Toofan, Bangla, Brewdog Punk IPA, Greene King IPA and maybe a local guest beer, yet to be arranged.  There is of course the normal bar selection of wines, spirits and soft drinks on offer too.  See the  Curry Club Home Page  for details of all the evening's beers and of course, the full menu.

The last event sold out within a day of announcment and with only 48 places available, we don't expect this evening to be any different, so book your tickets early to avoid disappointment.  Book online or phone/visit the restaurant to reserve your places, but delay at your peril!.  Just £19.95 per person, which includes all the amazing food, a beer and great company!

What’s your background?

“My family moved to Stockport from Bangladesh when I was 4 years old, so I am a Northern lad and went to Jackson’s High school. Within just a few years my father, through his hard work and dedication, had bought his own house and restaurant, which was quite something for an immigrant family in those days. So the restaurant business is in my blood”
- Taz's Own Words

Every month, we feature one of our special items, maybe even a brand-new recipe, using fresh, seasonal ingredients.

This month's special is a wonderful taste explosion.  Chicken Kofta, laced with fresh ginger in a secret sauce, served on a Tawa and garnished with fresh coriander and red onion.

Like all or dishes, this is made fresh to order, so can be served medium, hot, Asian style.  As you like it.  Ask your waiter when ordering.

Great food is not just what we do; it’s what we live for.

Many of our dishes are unique to us and we are adding to this list all the time. There is however one constant; all our food is lovingly prepared, fresh to order, using only the finest ingredients, by Taz himself.

What’s your favourite dish?

"That's easy.  Grannie Style Madras"

Chicken, lamb or mixed vegetables cooked with baby potatoes in a rich madras sauce with flame fried garlic - hot
"From when I was 7 or 8 years old, I was in and out of my Dad’s restaurant and he used to make a wonderful Madras. The aroma of the lemons marinating in the madras sauce always caught my nose and I was always sneaking a taste, so even today, Granny Style Madras is my favourite dish to eat and to cook. Come and try it!”
