 Taz and his team are proud to announce the magnificent Christmas Day Banquet.

Served in 3 sittings, 12 noon, 3pm or 6pm, and with a choice of fabulous Traditional English Roast Turkey or a fabulous Bengali Alternative - full menu to view or download below.  More details here


If you can't make it Christmas Day, you can still enjoys a great festive occasion at The Princess of Hearts  with our Special Party Menu.    From December 1st - 20th, all bookings for 6 or more people can enjoy popodoms & dips, a selection of starters and main courses, along with rice and naan, forjust £14.95 per person.

Yes folks, the Goose getting pretty big and that means it's time to talk Festive things.  Firstly everyone here at The Princess of Hearts would like to wish all our customers, well everyone really, a happy festive season.

With such things in mind, there are some goodies to which we'd like to draw your attention:

  • November Curry Club Christmas Party - Wednesday November 29th.  Traditional Christmas Ingredients, but Tazified.  Sprout Bahjees, Turkey Curry Specials and a few surprises.  Still only £19.95.  More details, full menu and booking coming soon.  Watch this space!

  • December Party Special - Throughout December for parties of 6 or more, only £14.95 for Popodom & Dips, Selection of Starters, Mains, Rice and Naan.   More details here

  • Christmas Day - Taz's Special Christmas Fayre - Traditional English or Alternative Indian Menu. 3 sittings from 12pm.   Full details and menu here

What’s your background?

“My family moved to Stockport from Bangladesh when I was 4 years old, so I am a Northern lad and went to Jackson’s High school. Within just a few years my father, through his hard work and dedication, had bought his own house and restaurant, which was quite something for an immigrant family in those days. So the restaurant business is in my blood”

This month's special is a wonderful taste explosion.  Chicken Kofta, laced with fresh ginger in a secret sauce, served on a Tawa and garnished with fresh coriander and red onion. 

Like all or dishes, this is made fresh to order, so can be served medium, hot, Asian style.  As you like it.  Ask your waiter when ordering.

Great food is not just what we do; it’s what we live for.

Many of our dishes are unique to us and we are adding to this list all the time. There is however one constant; all our food is lovingly prepared, fresh to order, using only the finest ingredients, by Taz himself.

    "That's easy.  Grannie Style Madras"

    Chicken, lamb or mixed vegetables cooked with baby potatoes in a rich madras sauce with flame fried garlic - hot
    "From when I was 7 or 8 years old, I was in and out of my Dad’s restaurant and he used to make a wonderful Madras. The aroma of the lemons marinating in the madras sauce always caught my nose and I was always sneaking a taste, so even today, Granny Style Madras is my favourite dish to eat and to cook. Come and try it!”

     A daily specials board is also available in the restaurant on most evenings, as well as our ‘Dish of the Month’.

    We offer a special welcome to vegetarians and vegans, with animal product free vegan menu, but please ask our friendly staff if you are at all unsure about any dish, ingredient or if you have any special dietary requirements.



    Reservations are strongly recommended Thursday through Saturday. Be sure to get a table by booking.
